Critical illness – support and assistance for the employee and family

We help you get the practical aspects related to the employee’s cover for certain critical illnesses running as smoothly as possible under the circumstances. 

The cover can provide support in a tough time. So please make sure the employee is aware that certain critical illnesses are eligible for cover. 

Checklist
  • Call us and let us know that the employee has fallen ill. When we receive this information, we will contact the employee. 
  • Help the employee find out whether the illness is eligible for cover for certain critical illnesses, and whether cover for reduced earning capacity could also be available. 
  • Reach out to your contact person with Velliv to get any documents and guidelines the employee will need. 
  • Ask the employee/their next of kin to submit the claim to us as soon as possible.
  • Find out whether you can make use of the Fast track-process via the relevant job centre.
  • Contact our health team and get advice and guidance on rules and retention options regarding sickness absence. 
  • Also ask the employee to contact us for support and guidance.
