A cover for certain critical illnesses provides a lump sum disbursement if you are diagnosed with a critical illness. The disbursement is tax free and can be used however you like. You also have the option to take out cover for your children.
The disbursement could help towards covering extra expenses related to your illness or ease the financial burden on you and your family during a difficult time.
Cover for certain critical illnesses
You are eligible for a disbursement if you or your child is diagnosed with one of the critical illnesses covered by the insurance.
This includes, for example:
- Most malignant cancers (does not include less aggresive types of cancer)
- Cancer of the blood, lymphatic system and blood-forming cells of the bone marrow
- Severe blood clots in the heart, brain or lung(s)
- Multiple sclerosis (MS)
- Inflammation of the brain or meningitis with severe neurological sequelae
- Muscular atrophy
