Risk

The higher risk, the greater potential return

Risk

Your savings are invested in assets such as stocks and bonds. The returns from these investments are what make your savings grow. That’s why it’s essential to take a stance on your risk profile, so your pension savings can thrive – and you can sleep well at night.

What’s your risk appetite?

We invest your savings in securities such as bonds, stocks, real estate etc. Our goal is to help your savings grow over time, so you can receive the maximum disbursement when you retire.

When investing in securities, the value of your savings may fluctuate up and down from year to year. Therefore, it’s essential that you decide on a suitable investment risk level for yourself, which we will then use to invest your savings.

  • Low risk

A relatively large part of your savings will be invested cautiously in e.g. bonds.

  • Medium risk

A moderate part of your savings will be invested cautiously in e.g. bonds.

  • High risk

A relatively large part of your savings will be invested boldly in stocks.

We gradually reduce your risk

With our three risk profiles, we maximise your potential for high returns while you're young and can tolerate taking on more risk.

As you approach retirement, we automatically reduce the risk, create security around your pension savings and ensure stability of your ongoing disbursements.

When there are less than 15 years until retirement, a gradual reduction of risk in your investment begins.

You can see the allocation of return-generating assets and risk-reducing assets (e.g. bonds) in the charts below.

Check your risk tolerance

When choosing your risk profile, it’s essential to consider both your desired return and your overall comfort level with risk. The higher the risk, the greater the potential fluctuations in your savings – and you need to be comfortable with that.

If you’re unsure about which risk level is right for you or want to change it, you can take our investment guide. It will give you a tailored recommendation.
