Why we ask questions

The better we know you, the better we can tailor our advisory services to your needs. We ask all our customers questions because as a reliable business partner, we want to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships. However, we will ask questions for other reasons as well.

Protection against money laundering

We make a proactive effort to protect our customers, our company and society in general against criminal acts such as money laundering and financing of terrorism. We take our social responsibility seriously and have introduced new procedures and rules to combat money laundering and financing of terrorism.

Velliv and all other Danish financial businesses are subject to a number of requirements set out in the Money Laundering Act. As a customer, you might therefore have to fill in a 'Know your customer' form and identify yourself in connection with:

Establishment of customer relationship
Change of customer relationship
Payment
What does it mean?
According to Danish legislation, Velliv has a special obligation of attentiveness. The obligation of attentiveness means that we must know all our customers. As a customer, you might have to identify yourself even though you have been our customer for many years. This is because we have to make sure that we are in contact with the right person, and it also serves as extra security for you.

Private: What to do

ID

As a Velliv customer, you might also have to fill in an ID form. The law requires us to know our customers and in that connection, we have to be able to document that all our customers have identified themselves. Velliv follows the Danish legislation and requests the following types of ID:

  • Passport or driving licence
